OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL STAFF HAVE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE OVEN.

RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTIONS.

 

Pizzas:

  • For best results we recommend defrosting pizzas before cooking, or transferring from frozen to chilled (refrigeration) storage.

 

Breville Oven:

  • Turn the right hand STYLE dial from the OFF position to the THIN & CRISPY position.

  • Turn the left hand TIMER dial to 4 minutes, if it is not already on 4 minutes.

  • The AT-TEMP light flashes, whilst the oven is reaching temperature. This typically takes 16-18 minutes.

  • When the AT-TEMP light stops flashing and remains on, the oven will beep and will be ready to start cooking.

  • Place the pizza on the paddle provided, ans slide the pizza into the oven. Do not put your hands inside the oven at any time.

  • IMPORTANT: when placing pizzas into the oven and removing pizzas from the oven, keep the paddle in a relatively horizontal position. If the ingredients of the pizza touch the top element of the oven, they can stick and could catch fire.

  • Close the oven door and press the left hand TIMER button to start the timer. The timer is preset to 4 minutes. The timer will beep when the time is up. Remove the pizza from the oven using the paddle, and close the oven door once the pizza is removed. Note: the timer will not stop the oven cooking, it is only a reminder, so do not leave the pizza in the oven as it will burn.

  • Let the pizza rest for 20 seconds, add olive oil before cutting.

  • You can leave the oven on, and turn it off when no more pizzas are required.

  • Note: the oven will turn itself off automatically if left unattended for a period of time. This is for safety in case the oven is left on by mistake. To reactivate, simply touch the TIMER button. You may have to wait until the AT-TEMP light stops flashing, whilst the oven is reaching temperature.

  • Turn the oven off by turning the right hand STYLE dial anticlockwise back to the OFF position. IMPORTANT: Do not switch the oven off at the socket, until you hear that the fan has stopped running. This allows the oven to cool properly. You can also leave the oven door open for a while once finished, which aids the cooling down process.

  • If you wish to remove the stone for cleaning, make sure that the oven is COMPLETELY COLD and use warm water only with NO DETERGENT. Ensure the stone is COMPLETELY DRY before re-inserting into the oven.
